The headgear also features breathable VentiCool technology.
The Vitera, which is the latest addition to Fisher & Paykel's good collection of full face masks, has some interesting new and improved features. The previous RollFit concept on their Simplus mask now has 93% more roll to help with mask seal and nasal bridge comfort and the new VentiCool headgear allows 21 times more airflow and 35% more moisture transfer than previous headgear
Performance meets comfort.

Had an NHS-issued Simplus mask as my daily driver for nearly three years. Upgraded to this one after a failed try with the Evora because I wanted something less tight on my face. The Vitera may look superficially similar to the Simplus, but the difference is just night and day. I sleep on my side with 8-10 cm3h2o pressure. Even with my face fully ensconced in a pillow this mask keeps a good seal, and I barely need to tighten the head straps for that - they are just a hair away from fully loose, it's kinda insane. With the Simplus, I had to go way tighter to keep the same level of seal, and I'd still get the occasional leaks around the bridge of the nose and into my eyes. The Vitera completely eliminated that.I already got along well with the Simplus, but the Vitera is an upgrade in every single respect. The cushion sizing is also the same between both models, as far as I could tell, so I could pick the right size without worrying. The only flaw I can find with this model is the tube attachment, It's lighter and less grippy, and can more easily pop off by accident when rolling around in bed, especially if you have the humidifier running.

Response:
Great to hear Charles, and good you're finding the Vitera is working better for you than the Simplus, as although that too is a good mask, Fisher & Paykel brought out the Vitera for those who did get eye leaks from the bridge of the nose - more common with people who have a slim nasal bridge.
Really pleased with my Vitera mask the fit is really good and minimal leaks. Excellent customer service and I will be highly recommending hope2sleep to anyone I come in to contact with who use a CPAP. I will be ordering a second one for a back up as I always think it is best to have a spare as I know I can not sleep without my CPAP.
Thanks for your kind compliments and so pleased to hear you've found the 'right' mask for you 😊
Very comfortable mask with very little air leak. Great customer service would definitely use hope2sleep for my next purchase
So pleased to hear the mask has helped with air leaks.
I have been on CPAP for 18 years and all of that time I had the Resmed Ultra Mirage mask which is now discontinued. My sleep clinic issued me the replacement; Resmed Mirage Quattro and it was horrible. Fiddly cushion insertion, leaking and insecure without proper top clips. They recently gave me the Vitera full face mask and it was wonderful. Perfect fit, no leaks and it does not slip of the top of the head. Easy to clean and insert/remove the cushion. My wife loves it as no whistling !! So I bought a spare one from Hope2Sleep as I always like to have a back-up and sleep clinic reviews have been put back to 18 months. Even better it came with two cushions and is a lot cheaper than Resmed products. No brainer, great mask for mouth breathers.
Great to hear the Vitera is working well for you 😊
Got this for my mum who has severe aleep apnea. These new masks and head gear are much more comfortable - very much improved on the Simplus. No longer blows air in your eyes! Excellent
This is good to hear as Fisher & Paykel did try to address the issues some patients get with the Simplus, even though that too is a good mask for the ones it suits.
My sleep clinic sent me a Fisher and Paykel Simplus mask originally. I liked the style of breathing with this mask but it made my nose bridge intensely sore. Subsequently they sent me a Dreamwear mask to avoid the nose bridge area altogether. Many people seem to like this mask but I found the noise disconcerting and wasn't keen on the way the pressured air goes up the nose. So I bought the Vitera mask recently, as the manufacturer claimed this was a significant improvement over the Simplus regarding the nose bridge area. I had an ugly red welt across the nose bridge after a couple of hours so, for me at least, I struggle to see an improvement. I had a follow-up call with the sleep clinic last week and the lady said she was also of the view that the Vitera was not an improvement for nose bridge issues. So it is back to the Dreamwear for me...I have to caveat the above by stating I was using both the Simplus and the Vitera with a medium mask. I do have a large one, which I ordered with the Vitera and will try this in the next days. My face is not large so I am doubtful that it will help but, if it does, I will re-review.
Sorry to hear this Roger as it can be so hard for some people to find the 'right' mask. We do hear from many people who have found the Vitera to be an improvement, but unfortunately not the case for everyone. Some people really need to avoid masks that go near the nasal bridge if possible (especially those who have a more slim or boney nasal bridge and a receding jaw). It's definitely worth trying again with the DreamWear, and your comment about the noise is usually only when new to the mask and after a few nights people seem to no longer hear it. See how you get on, but another mask you could ask your clinic to try would be the Amara View without the side tubular frames where the air goes through if it does still bother you after a while.
This is my 5th mask in one year as I have struggled to get a good fit. It is a very comfortable mask for a mouth breather with a small nose and face. It does sometimes leak but not hugely. Once correctly adjusted it is easy to keep the fit as the straps can be completely removed and washed and dried without undoing. I have found the silicone of the mask by far the most comfortable as it is almost like a double concertina section. The mask holder sits on your forehead and gently pushes the mask forward to fit comfortably around the mouth. I think it will prove to be the mask that gives me the best treatment.

Shipping
We try our best to ship all orders received by us Monday-Friday on the same working day if received before 12 noon, and more often than not orders processed before 3pm will be despatched the same day whenever possible. Weekend or UK bank holiday orders are sent out the next working day. An automated email is sent when products have been despatched so please check your spam box and add us to your safe senders list. Also, if you do not receive an email confirmation, please check that you have typed the correct email address in your account.
All orders are sent via 1st class mail within the UK. Masks and some other more expensive products are always sent via 'signed for' insured delivery and cannot be left in 'safe' places, but there is the option for an alternative shipping address when processing the orders.
Delivery charges are worked out automatically by weight and you can clearly see the delivery charges before making a payment. On the rare occasion delivery charges are miscalculated by the website, a refund will be sent, as it is not our policy to make money on postage charges and neither do we add the cost of delivery into the price and offer so-called 'free delivery' like some sites and Ebay pressurise sellers to do!
Wherever possible with larger parcels, we try to re-use boxes to keep shipping costs down and protect the environment.
If a product is out of stock and the order contains multiple items, the 'in stock' items will be sent immediately and further items will follow upon arrival with no further postage charges incurred.
Important for International Orders
We can ship most products internationally, but all prices are in UK British Pounds and if paying by debit or credit card the bank will automatically convert to the current conversation rate. Likewise, if you choose the Paypal option, they will convert into your currency for you as payment is made.
International orders are sent via tracked Airmail, and whilst we're happy to ship internationally, we cannot be held responsible for any delays at Customs at your end, or charges that may be added in your own country, such as customs fees and import tax on delivery, which are determined by your country’s import laws and are beyond our control. Therefore, it is the customer’s responsibility to pay these charges, and certain courier companies will not be able to deliver the goods to you without pre-payment of any charges. From our experience, it appears to be randomised as to which parcels incur extra charges, but please know that all accompanying paperwork is filled in correctly when shipping and there is nothing more we can do, as much as we'd like to.If you purchase from us out of the UK or you move to another country after purchasing products, please be aware that the warranty for CPAP machines, masks and parts from the manufacturers are under warranty with the manufacturer based in the UK, so you will be responsible for sending the product back to us and will need to pay postage to get the product back to you after exchange or repair, as the manufacturer will not pay for shipping in any country outside of the UK.
Masks, CPAP machines and and most other products are exempt from a refund or exchange unless faulty due to health and hygiene issues - as stated in our 'Terms and Conditions', and in particular due to the risk of cross contamination as they cannot be re-sold. The Consumer Contracts Regulations 28.(3)(a) confirms exemption as follows:- "exemption in the case of a contract for the supply of sealed goods which are not suitable for return due to health protection or hygiene reasons, if they become unsealed after delivery."
Unopened (sealed) products in their original packing can be returned within 14 days for a refund of the product cost, but the purchaser is to pay the return postage, and we would advise retaining proof of postage. This excludes any faulty goods, for which postage will be reimbursed. A full refund for the price of the product will be issued when received by us, less the original postage charges when the order was sent to you.
