This Ventura Total Full Face Mask by the Lowenstein Medical Group (WilAmed) is a quality German-made mask which seals around the edge of the face to by-pass the nose and mouth area, and is a vented mask for CPAP, BiLevel and non-invasive Ventilators.
The Ventura Total Full Face Mask by the Lowenstein Group is a welcome addition to the other similar well-known FitLife Mask by Philips Respironics, and these total face masks are particularly beneficial for patients prone to nasal bridge sores, during times of sinus infections, colds, dental pain or surgery on the nose and face, as it's at times like these when masks can become intolerable with the affected area.
This vented version of the Ventura is for adult patients over 20 kg using CPAP, Bi-level and non-invasive ventilators.
The Ventura Total Face masks from WILAmed were developed and produced with the patient’s comfort in mind. They are less intimidating than other full face masks because the masks are clear and open.
The design makes it easier to treat anxious or claustrophobic patients.

The Ventura is supplied in either Small, Medium or Large. Unfortunately, the manufacturer doesn't supply a mask template sizing guide, so we have measure the length of the mask, which is the most important size in our effort to help.
PLEASE NOTE: If you have previously used the similar FitLife Mask by Philips Respironics, the Ventura mask sizes are NOT THE SAME so please check carefully for the sizing below.
Measure above the eyebrows, and in case the above image isn't displaying for you, the sizes of the mask length from the top (positioned above the eyebrows) to almost the bottom of the cushion (which is where it will rest before tucking under the chin) are as follows:-
Small: 13 cm approx length from top of the mask - supplied with headgear
Medium: 15 cm approx length from top of the mask - supplied with headgear
Large: 17 cm approx length from top of the mask - supplied with headgear
The Ventura Mask may not be suitable for patients with the following conditions:-
Impaired cardiac sphincter function, excessive reflux, impaired cough reflex, hiatus hernia, eye diseases or after eye surgery. It should not be used if the patient is unresponsive, obtunded or unable to remove the mask.
I have severe OSA, and also suffer from COPD. I have a high nose bridge and a large head! I was concerned this mask wouldnt fit ! But it was fine. Its 180mm high and 170mm wide. I have been having problems with nasal pillows and face masks but this total face I am finding very useful. As in all the masks, I find when it gets to 3am ish, they start to leak. I think my face shrinks for some reason at 3am ??. This total mask is the same. At 3am it needs a tighten as it leaks at the sides, or sometimes I just switch to nasal pillows for the last few hours of sleep. I'm a side sleeper so need to keep my head on the end of the pillow or the pressure pushes against the mask and makes it leak. All of my masks do this, so this isn't unusual. All in all I'm really pleased with the mask, combined with nasal pillows I have been getting scores of 100% on the 'My Air' monitoring system within my VPAP machine.

Response:
Glad the mask is working well for you Andrew, and you're correct to state that our body temperature does drop during sleep. Depending on what time you go to sleep, this varies usually between 2-4 am. Try to ever so slightly tighten the mask when you put it on - not too much to cause discomfort, but just enough to compensate so that the mask holds its seal when your temperature drops. Hope this helps.
So so happy I purchased this mask! After 6 years of struggling with the NHS full face mask the past 2 weeks of sleeping with this Ventura have been wonderful. I am sleeping all night,I no longer wake gasping for air as this mask doesn't come off in the night and no more sore indents on my face. I can honestly say my quality of sleep is the best it has been in a decade and I will never wear any other type again. It is a shame that this mask isn't available at my sleep clinic but it is worth saving up for this mask as it's a lifesaver for me.

We're so pleased to hear this Ann-Marie and know exactly how you feel when you've finally found the 'right' mask 😊
My daughter uses the Fitlife small and I thought that there wouldn't be much difference with the Ventura Small but it didn't fit. It comes up smaller and the straps are too big for her head. I can't wait for the Fitlife to be back in stock. Please do bear in mind that my daughter has cerebral palsy and the shape of her face isn't typical due to her small head.
We're so sorry to hear the Ventura hasn't been successful for your daughter whilst waiting for the FitLife to come back in stock. Hopefully, as your daughter grows she may grow into this mask even if just for a back-up 🙏
Hello , purchased the mask from Hope2Sleep and as usual it was an excellent service. The mask is well made, but not for me as it does not seal around my face and I had numerous leaks. Tried to adjust it to get rid of the leaks but ended up with sores on my chin and forehead. I gave up and purchased a Fitlife mask as this has the seal around the inside which gives a better fit around the face, which in turn makes it far more comfortable. Although the Ventura is a good mask I'm sure it will be OK for someone. Kind regard Malcolm.
Thanks for your honest review Malcolm and it's a shame the Ventura didn't work for you, and especially with it being a cheaper total face mask.
Really not sure how I feel about this mask.. had for 2 weeks and had 3 attempts of trying it ..having to change back to old mask in middle of nite seems to leak a lot and straps on not easy to secure but not given up on it yet and still persevering with it as it cost to much not to use. Went for the Ventura mask to get rid of all face marks
Sorry to hear it wasn't an instant fix but hope you do find the mask helpful. Sometimes the addition of a mask liner can help and the liner that works with this mask is the FitLife one. Please give us a call if you're still struggling to see if we can help on 0300-102-9711.
I think it’s better for me than the Phillips equivalent. It’s good to avoid the center of the face, and contacts the periphery. It’s longer than the Philips, but longer still would be better for me. The nose cavity is a little snug, but I suspect that’s to reduce the dead air zone. Slll in all a very good and comfortable inexpensive mask.
Thanks for your review in these early days of the Ventura being a new mask to us too, and it's good to hear you've found it even better than the FitLife for you, with it being cheaper 😊
Shipping
We try our best to ship all orders received by us Monday-Friday on the same working day if received before 12 noon, and more often than not orders processed before 3pm will be despatched the same day whenever possible. Weekend or UK bank holiday orders are sent out the next working day. An automated email is sent when products have been despatched so please check your spam box and add us to your safe senders list. Also, if you do not receive an email confirmation, please check that you have typed the correct email address in your account.
All orders are sent via 1st class mail within the UK. Masks and some other more expensive products are always sent via 'signed for' insured delivery and cannot be left in 'safe' places, but there is the option for an alternative shipping address when processing the orders.
Delivery charges are worked out automatically by weight and you can clearly see the delivery charges before making a payment. On the rare occasion delivery charges are miscalculated by the website, a refund will be sent, as it is not our policy to make money on postage charges and neither do we add the cost of delivery into the price and offer so-called 'free delivery' like some sites and Ebay pressurise sellers to do!
Wherever possible with larger parcels, we try to re-use boxes to keep shipping costs down and protect the environment.
If a product is out of stock and the order contains multiple items, the 'in stock' items will be sent immediately and further items will follow upon arrival with no further postage charges incurred.
Important for International Orders
We can ship most products internationally, but all prices are in UK British Pounds and if paying by debit or credit card the bank will automatically convert to the current conversation rate. Likewise, if you choose the Paypal option, they will convert into your currency for you as payment is made.
International orders are sent via tracked Airmail, and whilst we're happy to ship internationally, we cannot be held responsible for any delays at Customs at your end, or charges that may be added in your own country, such as customs fees and import tax on delivery, which are determined by your country’s import laws and are beyond our control. Therefore, it is the customer’s responsibility to pay these charges, and certain courier companies will not be able to deliver the goods to you without pre-payment of any charges. From our experience, it appears to be randomised as to which parcels incur extra charges, but please know that all accompanying paperwork is filled in correctly when shipping and there is nothing more we can do, as much as we'd like to.If you purchase from us out of the UK or you move to another country after purchasing products, please be aware that the warranty for CPAP machines, masks and parts from the manufacturers are under warranty with the manufacturer based in the UK, so you will be responsible for sending the product back to us and will need to pay postage to get the product back to you after exchange or repair, as the manufacturer will not pay for shipping in any country outside of the UK.
Masks, CPAP machines and and most other products are exempt from a refund or exchange unless faulty due to health and hygiene issues - as stated in our 'Terms and Conditions', and in particular due to the risk of cross contamination as they cannot be re-sold. The Consumer Contracts Regulations 28.(3)(a) confirms exemption as follows:- "exemption in the case of a contract for the supply of sealed goods which are not suitable for return due to health protection or hygiene reasons, if they become unsealed after delivery."
Unopened (sealed) products in their original packing can be returned within 14 days for a refund of the product cost, but the purchaser is to pay the return postage, and we would advise retaining proof of postage. This excludes any faulty goods, for which postage will be reimbursed. A full refund for the price of the product will be issued when received by us, less the original postage charges when the order was sent to you.
