Part Number: SLN1SUBrand: Fisher & Paykel
Availability:
In stock
This new Solo Nasal Mask is described by Fisher & Paykel as "the world's first AutoFit™ mask" with a one-touch adjustment and AutoLock™ technology!
The Solo mask is available with either a nasal cushion or nasal pillows.
The Fisher & Paykel new Solo Mask is the first manufacturer to announce an AutoFit™ mask and we do hope it lives up to our expectations. Speaking with Fisher & Paykel at a recent conference, we were told this new technology has been 10 years in the making, and Fisher & Paykel certainly do make quality masks!
The Solo Mask has the option of using either a nasal cushion or nasal pillows, and both fit on the same frame.
The Nasal Cushion and Pillow are both made of a very silky soft silicone and have a nice padded feel.
The Headgear is covered in a soft material which will hopefully prevent face marks, and it smoothly stretches to fit the mask in seconds which then locks (AutoLock™) into the correct position when the ideal fit is found. This appears to enable the headgear not to feel too tight.
Close-up of the new unique AutoLock™ system which really is amazing and will hopefully make mask fitting so much easier.
The Solo Mask easily dismantles for cleaning. However, do not attempt to remove the swivel from the end of the small tube or the frame from the other end of the small tube.
Reduces overtightening
Without conventional straps to undo and pull, the AutoFit headgear reduces overtightening.
Nasal cushion
Sits under the nose allowing for freedom of movement while keeping the cushion comfortably in place.
Nasal Pillow option
.....to suit the patient's preference.
AutoLock™ technology
Automatically holds the mask in place, dynamically responding to sleep movement.
AutoFit™ headgear
Simplifies mask setup like no other - simply stretch to fit and touch to adjust.
For the first purchase of the Solo Mask if unable to try before purchase, it is highly recommended to buy the FitPack version in either the Nasal Cushion or Nasal Pillows so that all the cushion/pillow sizes (small, medium and large) can be tried to find the perfect fit. However, there is also a medium-wide nasal cushion available which is not included in the FitPack, but this is because the medium-wide is not a common size needed usually.
For future purchases of the Solo Mask once the correct nasal cushion/pillows is known, there are two options to purchase each mask - as either a mask in the size required or the alternative option of the mask in the size required along with an additional cushion or pillows in the same size. This is more cost-effective to purchase with the additional cushion. See the table below for all the different options:-
Do NOT attempt to remove the swivel from the end of the small tube or the frame from the other end of the small tube.
Do NOT put this mask in the dishwasher.

The service I received could not be beat, unfortunately the nose mask just hadn’t worked for me yet. Think I need to go back to a better nose and mouth one.

Response:
Aw, sorry the mask hasn't worked for you Ralph, but if you're mouth breathing then it really is better to use a mask that covers your mouth too. Please reach out to us if you want any help.
I have found this to be a very good mask, much more comfortable than the full face mask which I struggled to make seal. Just put it on and it self adjusts and remains comfortable. Although take care to put it on the correct way up. It is easy to do the opposite in the dark.My one gripe with this product is the price. Whilst I can’t fault the build quality, I fail to see how the price of £129 can be justified.

Glad you like the mask, but unfortunately most good quality masks have a high price tag which is determined by the manufacturers.
The self adjusting headgear straps are fantastic. I'm getting consistently better sleep than I used to get with my previous set up. Highly recommended 👌
That's great to hear 😊
I had read some reviews saying it was noisier and this has proved to be right. I am trying to persevere but it is taking some time, the pillows seem to insert further into the nostrils than my previous Resmed P10 and by the morning my nose is quite sore although this doesn’t last for too long. I like the way the straps adjust and stay in place. With the larger silicone cushion around the pillows I thought I should have fewer leaks. For a while my results were good, 99-100 for a few days but are now showing leaks again, the problem I had with the P10. The other problem I have is the feeling of being unable to breathe properly when I first switch on, as though my nose is blocked but this subsides after a while. Sorry for making this review so long!In summary the jury is out but I will try for a bit longer.
Please don't apologise for the long review, as in-depth reviews help lots of people and thanks for taking the time to do this 😊 We do hope as time has gone on the mask has proved better, as sometimes it can take a while, and with a few necessary tweaks, to get things just right for us.
I've tried many different masks over the years and this one is by far my favourite. Fitting is incredibly simple due to the AutoFit system. It's also incredibly comfortable when wearing it as you can fit it really quite loosely and still get a decent seal (the pillows help with this). Another bonus is that, again due to the fitting system, when I move around the mask will tighten itself ever so slightly meaning no leaks and meaning I don't wake up and have to adjust the mask manually. I can honestly say that for the first time in my CPAP journey I almost forget that I'm wearing a mask!

Shipping
We try our best to ship all orders received by us Monday-Friday on the same working day if received before 12 noon, and more often than not orders processed before 3pm will be despatched the same day whenever possible. Weekend or UK bank holiday orders are sent out the within the next two working days when possible. An automated email is sent when products have been despatched so please check your spam box and add us to your safe senders list. Also, if you do not receive an email confirmation, please check that you have typed the correct email address in your account.
All orders are sent via 1st class mail within the UK. Masks and some other more expensive products are always sent via 'signed for' insured delivery and cannot be left in 'safe' places, but there is the option for an alternative shipping address when processing the orders.
Delivery charges are worked out automatically by weight and you can clearly see the delivery charges before making a payment. On the rare occasion delivery charges are miscalculated by the website, a refund will be sent, as it is not our policy to make money on postage charges and neither do we add the cost of delivery into the price and offer so-called 'free delivery' like some sites and Ebay pressurise sellers to do!
Wherever possible with larger parcels, we try to re-use boxes to keep shipping costs down and protect the environment.
If a product is out of stock and the order contains multiple items, the 'in stock' items will be sent immediately and further items will follow upon arrival with no further postage charges incurred.
Important for International Orders
We can ship most products internationally, but all prices are in UK British Pounds and if paying by debit or credit card the bank will automatically convert to the current conversation rate. Likewise, if you choose the Paypal option, they will convert into your currency for you as payment is made.
International orders are sent via tracked Airmail, and whilst we're happy to ship internationally, we cannot be held responsible for any delays at Customs at your end, or charges that may be added in your own country, such as customs fees and import tax on delivery, which are determined by your country’s import laws and are beyond our control. Therefore, it is the customer’s responsibility to pay these charges, and certain courier companies will not be able to deliver the goods to you without pre-payment of any charges. From our experience, it appears to be randomised as to which parcels incur extra charges, but please know that all accompanying paperwork is filled in correctly when shipping and there is nothing more we can do, as much as we'd like to.If you purchase from us out of the UK or you move to another country after purchasing products, please be aware that the warranty for CPAP machines, masks and parts from the manufacturers are under warranty with the manufacturer based in the UK, so you will be responsible for sending the product back to us and will need to pay postage to get the product back to you after exchange or repair, as the manufacturer will not pay for shipping in any country outside of the UK.
Masks, CPAP machines and and most other products are exempt from a refund or exchange unless faulty due to health and hygiene issues - as stated in our 'Terms and Conditions', and in particular due to the risk of cross contamination as they cannot be re-sold. The Consumer Contracts Regulations 28.(3)(a) confirms exemption as follows:- "exemption in the case of a contract for the supply of sealed goods which are not suitable for return due to health protection or hygiene reasons, if they become unsealed after delivery."
Unopened (sealed) products in their original packing can be returned within 14 days for a refund of the product cost, but the purchaser is to pay the return postage, and we would advise retaining proof of postage. This excludes any faulty goods, for which postage will be reimbursed. A full refund for the price of the product will be issued when received by us, less the original postage charges when the order was sent to you.
Most of the products we sell are eligible for Zero Rated VAT in the UK, and in order to qualify, you should meet the criteria for the following HMRC VAT Declaration:-

If you are purchasing on behalf of someone else who meets the above criteria, you must provide their name and address, and you will be prompted of this during the checkout process.
