These are the very latest versions (as of 2022) of the popular Pilot-12 Lite and Pilot-24 Lite CPAP Batteries by Medistrom that not only have back-up UPS battery power for any unexpected power cuts, they are Flight-Approved batteries so can be used on long-haul flights and work with several different brands of CPAP machines.
Please read the main listing carefully as it is important to get the correct battery for the correct CPAP machine and some many require extra cables.
PLEASE ORDER A BATTERY AS EARLY AS POSSIBLE BEFORE YOU NEED TO USE IT AND OPEN THE PACKAGE STRAIGHT AWAY! MISTAKES CAN HAPPEN WITH ORDERS AND ALSO WITH DELIVERIES ON OCCASIONS, SO YOU MUST LEAVE TIME FOR ANY PROBLEMS TO BE RECTIFIED BEFORE YOU NEED TO USE THE BATTERY!
(Also read all important notes and cautions in the main listing if purchasing a battery from us).
These are the latest 2022 version of the Medistrom Pilot-24 Lite and Pilot-12 Lite universal CPAP Batteries and it is very important to get the correct battery as the Pilot-24 Lite is for CPAP machines that run on 24 volts and the Pilot-12 Lite is for CPAP machines that are run on 12 volts.
Some CPAP manufacturers have their own batteries, but it's worth considering that if you were to ever change to a different manufacturer's CPAP machine, then the specific battery would not work with another brand of CPAP machine. This is why we have chosen to supply this Medistrom universal battery which works with a selection of different machines.
The main benefits of these Pilot-12 Lite and Pilot-24 Lite CPAP batteries are:-
UPS (uninterruptible power supply) - also known as back-up battery. This means that if the battery is connected to the CPAP machine when the CPAP is running on mains power, if there are any unexpected power cuts, the battery will automatically take over to power the CPAP so that there is no interruption to the running of the CPAP machine.
Flight-approved for using on long-haul flights and Medistrom also provide a downloadable Flight Travel Letter to take on flights.
USB Port for charging mobiles, cameras and tablets etc.
Built-in LED Torch (Flashlight) - very handy when camping!
Very lightweight at only 560g (1.3lbs).
Optional Solar Panels or 12V Car Charger (available separately) for charging the battery when there is no access to mains power.
2-3 Hours Charging Time to full charge.
One Year Warranty and Free Manufacturer Support on condition the battery is fully charged before storage and at least EVERY 6 MONTHS thereafter.
The length of power usage will very much depend on the pressure settings on each CPAP machine, whether fixed or automatic pressure, mask leaks, altitude etc, but on a fixed CPAP pressure of 10 cm with no humidifier or heated hose, the battery should last for a minimum of 8 hours and with less demanding configurations, 2 nights usage is possible.
A humidifier or heated hose is NOT recommended with this type of battery as it will shorten the battery usage time by around 3-4 hours!
The batteries can easily be recharged in one of three ways:-
Using the CPAP machine's power supply when AC power is available which takes approx 2-3 hours (except the AirMini which takes 7-9 hours).
Optional 12V Car Charger (available separately) which takes approx 3-5 hours.
Optional Medistrom 50W Solar Panels (available separately) which takes 7-9 hours in direct sunlight.
Compatible with the following CPAP machines:-
Philips Respironics DreamStation and DreamStation 2 (but NOT the DreamStation Go travel machine which needs the Pilot-24 Lite below)
Philips Respironics System One REMstar 60-series
DeVilbiss SleepCube and DeVilbiss Blue (called IntelliPAP I and IntelliPAP II in USA)
Breas (HDM) Z1 and Z2 Travel Machines
Lowenstein Prisma Soft, Prisma Smart, Prisma SoftPlus, Prisma SmartPlus, Prisma SoftMax, Prisma SmartMax (please note it will NOT work with the Prisma 20A or 20C which run on 37V)
Philips Respironics DreamStation Go (Travel Machine)
ResMed AirSense 10-series
Resmed Airsense 11-series
ResMed AirMini (Travel Machine)
ResMed S9
Sefam S.Box
Apex Medical iCH
BMC/3B Medical Luna L7000/L8000
Please also check how much charge is on the battery when it arrives and it is recommended to fully charge the battery if not at 100%.
It is highly recommended that you use the battery at home before relying on the battery for any trips/holidays, to test the equipment is working correctly and that you have purchased all the correct accessories needed. This will also enable you to check how long the battery will last for your own configuration of CPAP therapy.
Due to the fact the Medistrom batteries are universal to be able work with several different CPAP machines, it is important to purchase the correct battery (Pilot-12 Lite or Pilot-12 Lite) and to check whether any extra cables are required for your CPAP machine. We have done our best in creating the following table to help make your purchase as easy as possible, but if in doubt please contact us before making your purchase:-
Solar Charger Car Charger
Replacement Cables supplied with the batteries are also available in case they get lost or broken, but are not necessary when
purchasing the battery new.
Fully charge your Pilot Lite before storage and at least EVERY 6 MONTHS thereafter. Failure to do this will void the warranty.
Make sure the battery is NOT connected to the CPAP machine when charging from the optional Car Charger or Solar Panels.
Keep the battery out of direct sunlight, and if charging using the solar panels, pop the battery underneath the canvas panels.
Keep the battery out of rain or snow.
Store the battery in a dark, cool and well-ventilated area with normal temperatures, and make sure the battery is switched off.

Helpful Information Video but do note that the included or additional accessoriesmay not be up to date as other CPAP machines are frequently added to thecompatibility for use with the Pilot-12 Lite and Pilot-24 Lite Batteries
I bought one of these batteries to use on my boat when we are anchored away from a mains power supply. I have now used it for a week and found that I can get at least two nights usage from a single charge. I bought the 12v charging cable also and found that it recharges well from a 12v socket in just a few hours. It is compact and light and worked well with the Phillips Dreamstation II. I would have no hesitation in recommending this product to others.

Excellent advice from Hope2Sleep. Battery pack is ideal for short term back up for CPAP machine if no power source is available
Dealing with hope2sleep was so good and easy they help with the set up of the machine over the phone and were so pleasant to deal with would highly recommend them to everyone.

Thanks for your kind comments Colin and we're always happy to help 🙂
Delighted with this battery, bought for the Resmed Airsense 10. We have frequent power cuts and the battery kicks in automatically so I have uninterrupted sleep. I also intend to use for international travel, so that I can sleep safely on aeroplanes. The NHS recommend a Resmed battery but it has not been available in the UK over the past 9 months, so this (cheaper) Pilot 24 is ideal. It's incredibly lightweight too.
Absolutely delighted to find this and it will be a game changer for me on my long haul flight next week and any journeys in the future now. Thank you for the excellent service
My battery arrived very quickly from Hope2Sleep. It is easy to use and charges up quite quickly. It is slimline and fits into my Resmed carrier bag very easily for traveling. I tried it out, turning my humidifier to manual first and it worked perfectly, so will have it for my long haul flight. It is also a good investment in case of power cuts. It is expensive but worth the money.
I live in an area which is prone to winter power cuts, so was looking for a means to ensure my PAP machine stayed on through the winter months. I have the Pilot 24 (the 24 volt version) in my home setup, it sits between my PAP machine’s power supply and the PAP machine itself. So it acts as a UPS (an Uninterruptible Power Supply). Should the power dip or drop, it ensures that my CPAP machine continues to operate and not leave me gasping for air (and for a number of hours if necessary). It doesn’t require any intervention on my part and it automatically kicks in when the mains power drops and reverts to mains when power is restored. It's pretty much plug in and forget. It’s a relatively small, compact and lightweight unit and comes with all the necessary cables to plug it in to a PAP machine (check your PAP machine’s compatibility via the H2S website). All the cables are well labelled and can’t be put in the wrong socket. The controls are simple - a power indicator; a battery charge indicator; a flashlight function and a USB port (type A) for charging another device (e.g. mobile phone).Installation was straightforward and the instructions were easy to follow (though the text size is a bit on the small side!). The battery came with a near full charge, but it is recommended that you fully charge before using it.It comes with a soft storage pouch for travelling, that holds both the battery unit and associated cables. While I use it as a UPS, it can also be used when camping or when travelling by air. It’s one of the few devices that is approved for airline travel (but check with your airline before travelling).John at Hope2Sleep was particularly helpful and able to steer me in the right direction for my needs. He has first hand experience of using the Medistrom products and is very knowledgeable on the other alternatives available through H2S and so it is worth speaking to him before making such an expensive purchase.

Glad to hear John was of good help to you, and he has used the battery himself for a long time and highly rates it.
Worked as explained by the lovely ladies at Hope2Sleep. The battery was quiet, easy to insert, kept its charge until needed and caused no obvious noise disruption on the plane.
Pleased to hear of your good experience with the CPAP battery 😊
Quick and easy purchase. Have used battery with my Resmed mini. All worked fine. And fully recharged in approx 6 hours via the Airmini charge lead.
After hiring a battery for a recent trip I decided to purchase one the whole process was simple with a very quick dispatch and delivery

Shipping
We try our best to ship all orders received by us Monday-Friday on the same working day if received before 12 noon, and more often than not orders processed before 3pm will be despatched the same day whenever possible. Weekend or UK bank holiday orders are sent out the next working day. An automated email is sent when products have been despatched so please check your spam box and add us to your safe senders list. Also, if you do not receive an email confirmation, please check that you have typed the correct email address in your account.
All orders are sent via 1st class mail within the UK. Masks and some other more expensive products are always sent via 'signed for' insured delivery and cannot be left in 'safe' places, but there is the option for an alternative shipping address when processing the orders.
Delivery charges are worked out automatically by weight and you can clearly see the delivery charges before making a payment. On the rare occasion delivery charges are miscalculated by the website, a refund will be sent, as it is not our policy to make money on postage charges and neither do we add the cost of delivery into the price and offer so-called 'free delivery' like some sites and Ebay pressurise sellers to do!
Wherever possible with larger parcels, we try to re-use boxes to keep shipping costs down and protect the environment.
If a product is out of stock and the order contains multiple items, the 'in stock' items will be sent immediately and further items will follow upon arrival with no further postage charges incurred.
Important for International Orders
We can ship most products internationally, but all prices are in UK British Pounds and if paying by debit or credit card the bank will automatically convert to the current conversation rate. Likewise, if you choose the Paypal option, they will convert into your currency for you as payment is made.
International orders are sent via tracked Airmail, and whilst we're happy to ship internationally, we cannot be held responsible for any delays at Customs at your end, or charges that may be added in your own country, such as customs fees and import tax on delivery, which are determined by your country’s import laws and are beyond our control. Therefore, it is the customer’s responsibility to pay these charges, and certain courier companies will not be able to deliver the goods to you without pre-payment of any charges. From our experience, it appears to be randomised as to which parcels incur extra charges, but please know that all accompanying paperwork is filled in correctly when shipping and there is nothing more we can do, as much as we'd like to.If you purchase from us out of the UK or you move to another country after purchasing products, please be aware that the warranty for CPAP machines, masks and parts from the manufacturers are under warranty with the manufacturer based in the UK, so you will be responsible for sending the product back to us and will need to pay postage to get the product back to you after exchange or repair, as the manufacturer will not pay for shipping in any country outside of the UK.
Masks, CPAP machines and and most other products are exempt from a refund or exchange unless faulty due to health and hygiene issues - as stated in our 'Terms and Conditions', and in particular due to the risk of cross contamination as they cannot be re-sold. The Consumer Contracts Regulations 28.(3)(a) confirms exemption as follows:- "exemption in the case of a contract for the supply of sealed goods which are not suitable for return due to health protection or hygiene reasons, if they become unsealed after delivery."
Unopened (sealed) products in their original packing can be returned within 14 days for a refund of the product cost, but the purchaser is to pay the return postage, and we would advise retaining proof of postage. This excludes any faulty goods, for which postage will be reimbursed. A full refund for the price of the product will be issued when received by us, less the original postage charges when the order was sent to you.
Most of the products we sell are eligible for Zero Rated VAT in the UK, and in order to qualify, you should meet the criteria for the following HMRC VAT Declaration:-
Please note, you do not need to be registered as disabled or in receipt of any other benefits in order to be eligible for VAT relief - you only need to meet the criteria of the above 2 points.

If you are not eligible for Zero Rated VAT then please make sure that the VAT Relief box in unticked so that VAT is applied to the order.
If you are purchasing on behalf of someone else who meets the above criteria, you must provide their name and address, and you will be prompted of this during the checkout process.
