No stock, discontinued
Unfortunately, with no warning able to be given to us, these Liquicell Nasal Cushions have had to be immediately withdrawn from sale, as instructed by Philips Respironics. This is due to the manufacturer who supply them to Philips Respironics announcing that, at this time, they are unable to meet changes to the CE marking standard, so they are unable to be sold within Europe.
We realise this will be a huge disappointment to many people, including for us here at the charity, and we are investigating other options and will keep our newsletter subscribers informed as and when we have any news. If you do not get our newsletters, this link is where you can sign up Newsletter Subscription
In the meantime, people who depend on the Liquicell Nasal Cushions for protection of their nasal bridge, the other product we supply for this protection are the Boomerang Gel Pads, so they would certainly be worth a try.
We apologise for this situation which is beyond our control.
Please see the 'Important Announcement above as to why this product has now been discontinued.
These LiquiCell Nasal CPAP Cushions give extra comfort and help avoid mask skin and pressure sores. Whilst they are designed for the nasal bridge, these can be placed anywhere the mask touches the skin without losing the mask seal. However, they are not designed to be inserted into the nostrils with nasal pillows mask.
The ultra-thin and nearly invisible liquid-filled membranes of the pad provide a synthetic, external bursa that allows the body to glide or float with an object and aid in the reduction of shear and friction of the skin.
Hope2Sleep highly recommend these, as even in the unlikely event people prefer not to use them with their masks, there will always be a use for these in the medicine cabinet. (Kath Hope, CEO of Hope2Sleep, herself was relieved to discover she got instant relief from a painful heel sore caused by a new pair of shoes! and other customers have told how they've come to the rescue for other burns and sores etc).
There are 30 disposable pads per pack with adhesive-backed strips, designed for one night's use, but some people may find they can get more than one night's wear out of them, although the adhesive will probably not work on successive nights. Using them for more than one night is NOT recommended medical advice - it is simply observation some users have reported.
The pads do NOT contain Latex and are made from polyurethane containing an odourless silicone fluid. Each pad is approx 6 cm long.
The CPAP LiquiCell cushions provide protection from blistering and nasal sores as a result of wearing a mask. I definitely recommend them.

Thank you for these, they have been great for my husband who uses CPAP. He previously used the Resmed one but these much better! Still a little redness on nose in the morning but not sore and goes as day progresses. Much better .
I purchased this product due to it having better reviews than the resmed gecko patch. The bridge of my nose was becoming so sore due to the mask and these pads really do relieve that pressure. They are easy to apply and make the mask a lot more comfortable during the breaking in period of a new mask.

Far better adhesion and comfort than the blister plasters I was using. They don't alter my leak rate (as hoped) but do make full face mask more comfortable. They will get 5 stars when they come down in price. I can use them more than one night by sticking them to my humidifier in day.
Response:
I don't think Respironics will bring down the price unfortunately Fiona, but it's good you're able to get extra nights use out of them. Some people can and some can't - depending on how oily peoples skin is. Thanks for the review. Kath
I have suffered for the past 4 years because in France it's impossible to find any sort of accessory for CPAP. My nose was the worst hit, to the point that even my eyeglasses began hurting (cumulative damage). Then I have found hope2sleep, and the possibility to test this nose protection patch. Wow!! It really makes THE difference! No more stabbing pain on the bridge, no bloody pustules forming, no unsightly marks for ahlf the day... yes, I very highly recommend this pads. NB: they can actually be reused 2-3 times if you thouroughly clean the skin before applying them, and sticking them back onto the paper support they are originally stuck to.
Fabulous you found us and the product! Great that they're helping you too 😊
received these are a trial from Philips at an open day. They were on the shelf for a few weeks, until i got a nose sore using my Resmed Airtouch Mask. I've started using these cushions since, and its letting the sore heal. you can barely feel them when being worn, so much smaller, lighter and thinner than the Resmed Gecko.I'll be ordering a full set now.Only given 4* as they are 1 night use only, and they are quite expensive for what they are. I intend to use only when the bridge of my nose gets sore, so probably 3 days on, 3 days off to spread the usage.
Helpful in stopping a sore red nose.
The pad was too short to go round my nose. It just hung on top. People wider noses wasn't considered. They should have sizes but it seems to be one size fits all which is not the case. The length should be specified in the advert. Very very disappointed. waste of money. The least they should do is refund my money. Am gonna get the ResMed which comes in small, medium and large size.

Sorry the size isn't mentioned, but we've not come across anyone having a trouble with size before. I don't recall you've actually contacted us to ask for your money back and a review to help others is certainly not the place to do this! However, our charity couldn't afford to do this anyway and we do try hard to find suitable products for our fellow sufferers. Unfortunately what works for one person doesn't always work for another, but the Liquicell do have a high rate of positive feedback for many people. I hope you find a solution, and please don't throw away the Liquicell as they have many other uses (sores, burns etc) so are not just for the nasal bridge.
Am getting a few nights use out of each cushion by sticking it onto a piece if hard clear plastic during the day. Def makes a full face mask more comfortable on the bridge of the nose
Good tip there Keith which I'll have to try, as I can only get one night's use out of them. Kath
I found these very thin and they did not help in anyway to reduce the irritation caused by the mask on my nasal bridge. I was dissapointed.
Again, sorry to hear yet another product didn't work for you, as both the products do work for the majority of people. Unfortunately with CPAP "what works for one person doesn't always work for another" so it seems you've been unlucky, and I do hope you find a way to sleep more comfortably.

Shipping
We try our best to ship all orders received by us Monday-Friday on the same working day if received before 12 noon, and more often than not orders processed before 3pm will be despatched the same day whenever possible. Weekend or UK bank holiday orders are sent out the next working day. An automated email is sent when products have been despatched so please check your spam box and add us to your safe senders list. Also, if you do not receive an email confirmation, please check that you have typed the correct email address in your account.
All orders are sent via 1st class mail within the UK. Masks and some other more expensive products are always sent via 'signed for' insured delivery and cannot be left in 'safe' places, but there is the option for an alternative shipping address when processing the orders.
Delivery charges are worked out automatically by weight and you can clearly see the delivery charges before making a payment. On the rare occasion delivery charges are miscalculated by the website, a refund will be sent, as it is not our policy to make money on postage charges and neither do we add the cost of delivery into the price and offer so-called 'free delivery' like some sites and Ebay pressurise sellers to do!
Wherever possible with larger parcels, we try to re-use boxes to keep shipping costs down and protect the environment.
If a product is out of stock and the order contains multiple items, the 'in stock' items will be sent immediately and further items will follow upon arrival with no further postage charges incurred.
Important for International Orders
We can ship most products internationally, but all prices are in UK British Pounds and if paying by debit or credit card the bank will automatically convert to the current conversation rate. Likewise, if you choose the Paypal option, they will convert into your currency for you as payment is made.
International orders are sent via tracked Airmail, and whilst we're happy to ship internationally, we cannot be held responsible for any delays at Customs at your end, or charges that may be added in your own country, such as customs fees and import tax on delivery, which are determined by your country’s import laws and are beyond our control. Therefore, it is the customer’s responsibility to pay these charges, and certain courier companies will not be able to deliver the goods to you without pre-payment of any charges. From our experience, it appears to be randomised as to which parcels incur extra charges, but please know that all accompanying paperwork is filled in correctly when shipping and there is nothing more we can do, as much as we'd like to.If you purchase from us out of the UK or you move to another country after purchasing products, please be aware that the warranty for CPAP machines, masks and parts from the manufacturers are under warranty with the manufacturer based in the UK, so you will be responsible for sending the product back to us and will need to pay postage to get the product back to you after exchange or repair, as the manufacturer will not pay for shipping in any country outside of the UK.
Masks, CPAP machines and and most other products are exempt from a refund or exchange unless faulty due to health and hygiene issues - as stated in our 'Terms and Conditions', and in particular due to the risk of cross contamination as they cannot be re-sold. The Consumer Contracts Regulations 28.(3)(a) confirms exemption as follows:- "exemption in the case of a contract for the supply of sealed goods which are not suitable for return due to health protection or hygiene reasons, if they become unsealed after delivery."
Unopened (sealed) products in their original packing can be returned within 14 days for a refund of the product cost, but the purchaser is to pay the return postage, and we would advise retaining proof of postage. This excludes any faulty goods, for which postage will be reimbursed. A full refund for the price of the product will be issued when received by us, less the original postage charges when the order was sent to you.
