Silent Night LLC

These Silent Night Mask Liner have come to the rescue of many mask users by bringing comfort, minimising facial marks and helping prevent mask leaks. In our opinion the inventor deserves an award for such an outstanding product with such good feedback!

These Silent Night™ Mask Liners, are proving to be a welcome relief for many mask users due to the following:-

  • Mask leaks.
  • Facial marks.
  • Soreness from where the mask cushions seal and for people who prefer the feel of a soft fabric against their face, rather than the silicone or gel cushions.
  • Rare allergies from the mask cushions to act as a barrier between the skin and mask.
  • People who tend to dribble or sweat as the mask liners soaks up water and wicks it away from the skin.

Hope2Sleep's Observations

These liners have several benefits and have been trialled with complete success in that which Silent Night™ claim!  Those of us at the charity that use mask liners and many of our customers have used both home made liners and bought other branded liners, and in most cases have found these Silent Night™ Liners far superior - as well as the fact that they stick to the mask which means they stay in place well and are easier to apply.  With careful removal of the liner, the Quick Stick™ tabs work well when re-applied to the mask or even placed on a different mask requiring the same size.

The length of time each liner lasts will vary from person to person, and will also depend on how clean the face is before bed and how oily the skin is, but the manufacturer states that each liner can be used up to 8 nights with success.  However, many of our customers are finding one liner last at least 10 nights with several stating a lot longer - some up to 3 weeks!  Whilst the manufacturer does not recommend washing the liners, if people choose to handwash them, they do wash well, although the adhesion ability of the sticky tabs may be reduced.

As well as the liners acting as a barrier between the mask cushions and the face, a real benefit is that there should be less need to tighten the mask headgear, which in itself is often the cause of face marks, nasal bridge sores and even bruising on occasions!

Below is a genuine 'Before and After' image sent by one of our valued customers, with permission to share in order to help others who struggle like she did before finding these Silent Night™ Liners:-

Before and After - Silent Night Liners

Silent Night™ says:-

Innovative

  • Micro Pillow™ Fabric Technology - The Micro Pillows™ are designed to act as a series of barriers to significantly reduce air leaks.
  • Antibacterial/antimicrobial fabric is treated to prevent growth of odour-causing bacteria and fabric deterioration caused by mould and mildew.
  • Easy to handle fabric designed to resist curling and forms nicely around the mask.

User Friendly

  •    Secure the liner to your CPAP mask using repositionable Quick Stick™ tabs.
  •    Adjust the positioning of the liner by simply removing and reapplying the Quick Stick™ tabs.
  •    Keeps mask cleaner and reduces mask cleaning time.
  •    Remove the liner for mask washing and re-attach for use.

Comfortable

  •    Moisture within the mask is wicked away by the liner.
  •    The risk of developing unsightly facial pressure marks from using your CPAP mask may be reduced.
  •    Soft, cushioned fabric improves nose bridge comfort.

Please carefully read the following advice to select the style and/or size you need for your mask, and if you are unsure please contact us for advice where we will do our best to help.  Also bear in mind that due to the amount of different masks on the market it has not yet been possible to test the liners with every mask.

The Silent Night Mask Liners are available in 2 options:-

  1. A pack of 4 Mask Liners which should last between 4-6 weeks and possibly longer.....
  2. One Single Mask Liner Sample  which should last between 8-10 nights but probably longer.....

NASAL MASK USERS

The Nasal Liners come in just 'one-size-fits-most masks' but they are NOT compatible with the Nasal Pillows Masks (which are inserted into the nostrils).

The liners will fit most Nasal Masks, but they are NOT recommended for the Petite-sized Philips Respironics Wisp Cushion, which is simply too small, but all other sizes of the Wisp work well.

Full instructions in fitting the liners are included in the packs, but to help with fitting the liner to the Respironics' Wisp Mask the manufacturer has provided an image to help:-

Philips Respironics' Wisp Mask Mask Instructions

  1. Remove the mask from the harness.
  2. Attach the tabs at the base of the mask, being careful not go over the last two ridges.
  3. Re-assemble the mask to harness.

You will see some silicone but when the average size nose enters the mask, the silicone will fold inward and the Liner should provide significant protection, although depending on nose shape it may be slightly less than 100% protection.

Extra Tip for the Resmed Swift FX Nano Mask

Attach lower sticky tabs then wrap upper tabs around and attach to the fabric of lower tabs

FULL FACE MASK USERS

The standard traditional Full Face Mask Liners comes in 3 sizes - Small, Medium + Large for all the traditional styled masks that cover both the mouth and nose.

For Full Face Mask Users the general rule is to choose the same size liner as your mask, and this certainly applies to Resmed masks.  However, some masks have a larger area of exposed soft silicone, therefore, for those listed below it would be better to order a size Large even if your mask isn't this size:-

  • Philips Respironics' ComfortGel.
  • Philips Respironics' ComfortFull 2.
  • Fisher & Paykel FlexiFit 431, 432 and Forma.

(More masks will be added to the above list if this issue comes up with other masks).

For the Lowenstein JoyceOne Full Face Mask - due to the mask being a one-size cushion, it is a medium liner that you will need.

For the Minimal Contact Full Face Masks like the DreamWear Full Face, Amara View, Resmed F30/F30i and the new Fisher & Paykel Evora there is a one-size Minimal Contact Liner for these masks.

Please note that for the new Evora Minimal Contact Mask, his liner is not the best fit for the Evora, and we do wish the manufacturer would bring out a better one for this mask, so you might want to purchase a single liner first to see how you get on.. It is easier to fit the liner on the Evora by removing the cushion from the mask frame, attaching the liner and then snapping the cushion back onto the mask with the liner fitted.

Philips Respironics' Amara View Mask Liners, DreamWear Full Face and Resmed Airfit F30/F30i, Fisher & Paykel Full Face Evora (one-size-fits-all) and FitLife Mask Liners (Small or Large/XL)  are a specific liners for use with these masks only:-

Minimal Contact Liner  FitLife with Liner

Full instructions in fitting the liners are included on the back of the packs, but to provide extra help with fitting the liners to the Resmed Airfit F10, Airfit F20, Quattro Air, AirTouch F20 and the newer Airfit F30 the manufacturer has provided images and instructions to help below:-

Resmed AirFit F10 Mask Fitting Tips

We recommend one of three different options for attaching the Silent Night liner to the AirFit F10 series:

  • Option 1:  Attach the upper Quick Stick™ tabs directly onto the inside of the harness attachment wings. (See IMAGE 1).
  • Option 2:  Attach the upper Quick Stick™ tabs directly underneath the harness attachment wings.  (See IMAGE 2).
  • Option 3*: Separate the Harness Frame from the Inner Shell according to the Manufacturer’s instructions. Attach the Quick Stick™ tabs of the Silent Night liner to the Inner Shell as indicated in IMAGE 3.  Reassemble the Shell and Harness Frame according to the manufacturer’s instructions. See IMAGE 4.

*Option 3 provides an excellent and secure fit, however, be careful to not damage your mask during disassembly and reassembly of the mask. Pursue this option at your own risk. Although these parts are designed to be separated and reconnected, improper or repeated disassembly and reassembly could cause the parts to wear out or break.

Resmed AirTouch F20 Mask Fitting Tips

Align the top edge of the liner with the top of the memory foam. The lower Quick Stick tabs of the liner will be able to reach the hard plastic on the bottom side of the mask. Even a small amount of adhesive contact to the hard plastic is adequate to hold the liner in place. Separating the Mask Cushion from the Headgear Frame may ease liner attachment*.

*Follow the manufacturer’s instructions if you choose to separate the Mask Cushion from the Headgear Frame. Be careful to not damage your mask. Although these parts are designed to be separated and reconnected, improper or repeated disassembly and reassembly could cause the parts to wear out or break.

Mask liner for Resmed F20
15 July 2024  |

The texture of the mask fabric is nice and soft and although it is thicker than some other liners there is no air escape. The best thing about the product is that it stays in place all night which is especially helpful as I have to take my mask off and on several times. The 2 drawbacks are that it is not washable and mine needed washing after 3 nights (cost £5 for 3 nights), also the top flaps are in the wrong place for my F20 and align with a mask strap fitting rather than with a clear edge to adhere to.

Response:

You can wash the liners Eve, and it's just the sticky tabs that won't survive washing, but you can use medical taps or sticky dots to secure the washed liner to the mask.

Does not stop small air leaks
03 June 2024  |

I bought the liners on a written recommendation hoping that they would eliminate the small air leaks from the top of the mask as it makes my eyes very dry and painful. I was disappointed to find the leaks are still happening. Back to my usual cloth mask liners.

Response:

That's a shame the liners didn't eliminate the small leaks, as in most cases they do, but sadly not every product will work the same for us all. We wish they did.

Great investment
15 May 2024  |

I have very sensitive skin so these have been a great help and make the mask much more comfortable. They are quite pricey, it says they are suitable for 1 use but I have manage to reattach successfully 3 or 4 times after washing the mask.

Not sure they made much of a difference with leakage but definitely comfier to wear. Just think it was the type of mask I was using that was causing the leakage.

Price far too high
10 April 2024  |

This one mask liner lasts a week on average at a cost of £6.00 each. How can anyone afford this??
Far too expensive for what it is.
Fits mask well & I would buy more if a lot cheaper.

Response:

We do agree regarding expense which is out of our control, due to having to import them. However, to help with costs they can be washed and re-used and lots of people stick them back on the mask with medical tape or similar.

Did the job.

These liners most certainly did the job. Having searched everywhere online These are the only ones that fit my nasal mask well. However I do consider them expensive.

ORDERS

Shipping

We try our best to ship all orders received by us Monday-Friday on the same working day if received before 12 noon, and more often than not orders processed before 3pm will be despatched the same day whenever possible.  Weekend or UK bank holiday orders are sent out the next working day.  An automated email is sent when products have been despatched so please check your spam box and add us to your safe senders list.  Also, if you do not receive an email confirmation, please check that you have typed the correct email address in your account.

All orders are sent via 1st class mail within the UK.  Masks and some other more expensive products are always sent via 'signed for' insured delivery and cannot be left in 'safe' places, but there is the option for an alternative shipping address when processing the orders.

Delivery charges are worked out automatically by weight and you can clearly see the delivery charges before making a payment.  On the rare occasion delivery charges are miscalculated by the website, a refund will be sent, as it is not our policy to make money on postage charges and neither do we add the cost of delivery into the price and offer so-called  'free delivery' like some sites and Ebay pressurise sellers to do!

Wherever possible with larger parcels, we try to re-use boxes to keep shipping costs down and protect the environment.

If a product is out of stock and the order contains multiple items, the 'in stock' items will be sent immediately and further items will follow upon arrival with no further postage charges incurred.

Important for International Orders

We can ship most products internationally, but all prices are in UK British Pounds and if paying by debit or credit card the bank will automatically convert to the current conversation rate.  Likewise, if you choose the Paypal option, they will convert into your currency for you as payment is made.

International orders are sent via tracked Airmail, and whilst we're happy to ship internationally, we cannot be held responsible for any delays at Customs at your end, or charges that may be added in your own country, such as customs fees and import tax on delivery, which are determined by your country’s import laws and are beyond our control. Therefore, it is the customer’s responsibility to pay these charges, and certain courier companies will not be able to deliver the goods to you without pre-payment of any charges. From our experience, it appears to be randomised as to which parcels incur extra charges, but please know that all accompanying paperwork is filled in correctly when shipping and there is nothing more we can do, as much as we'd like to.

If you purchase from us out of the UK or you move to another country after purchasing products, please be aware that the warranty for CPAP machines, masks and parts from the manufacturers are under warranty  with the manufacturer based in the UK, so you will be responsible for sending the product back to us and will need to pay postage to get the product back to you after exchange or repair, as the manufacturer will not pay for shipping in any country outside of the UK.

RETURNS

Masks, CPAP machines and and most other products are exempt from a refund or exchange unless faulty due to health and hygiene issues - as stated in our 'Terms and Conditions', and in particular due to the risk of cross contamination as they cannot be re-sold. The Consumer Contracts Regulations 28.(3)(a) confirms exemption as follows:-  "exemption in the case of a contract for the supply of sealed goods which are not suitable for return due to health protection or hygiene reasons, if they become unsealed after delivery."

Unopened (sealed) products in their original packing can be returned within 14 days for a refund of the product cost, but the purchaser is to pay the return postage, and we would advise retaining proof of postage. This excludes any faulty goods, for which postage will be reimbursed.  A full refund for the price of the product will be issued when received by us, less the original postage charges when the order was sent to you.
